If that obnoxious alarm clock is the bane of your existence, consider this:

Many of the happiest and most successful people in the world are early morning risers.

Why, you ask, would anyone do that?!

Because early mornings give you the time to be intentional about your day. They help you put yourself FIRST, in a world where responsibilities and obligations come at us at an overwhelming rate.

So, if you're looking to get up early like Richard Branson, Rachael Ray, and Tim Cook here are 4 Quick Tips to Make it Work.

For more strategies to wake up early, head over to How to Wake Up Early to Triple Your Self-Care

1. Make it Hard to Hit Snooze

Are you are serious alarmer? As in, one of those people that hits the snooze five times before getting up. It's a small habit that becomes hard to break over time!

The trick here, is to get up the first time, every time. To do this, move the alarm clock away from the bed. If the alarm forces you to get up to turn it off, you'll be much more likely to stay up for good.

2. Change Your Alarm Clock Time

Set your clock fifteen to thirty minutes ahead and enjoy feeling like you're getting up at the normal time (when it's really earlier). Before you know it, you'll be used to your new morning time, and the time change will be no big deal.

3. Find Accountability

We are ALWAYS more likely to stick to a new habit when we have the support of a person or community. Announce your goal on social media, use an accountability app like SPAR!, or bet your friend twenty bucks you'll stick it out for a period of time. These actions may be uncomfortable, but they are the secret weapon to sticking to your good habits.

4. Do Something You Love

Finally, at least at the beginning, start your day with something you LOVE doing and helps you hop out of bed. Meditate, exercise, journal, enjoy a cup of coffee in silence, or do something else that incorporates an act of self-love to start your day.

You are stuck with your mind and body for life, so use your extra time to take care of yourself in a way that promotes long term health and happiness. You'll quickly find that by starting the day in a calm way, you're setting the tone for supreme productivity later on.

In Conclusion

It can't be emphasized enough the power of a good morning routine that starts early (whether that's five, six, or seven). You'll wake up refreshed and set the tone for a day that's productive, but also joyful. Give it a shot today!
