Mike - that sounds like a challenge to me! You've got some great links there. Looks like we may have some projects in common...
Good luck, Mike! That is a lot of blogging, but you seem determined, so I will see you at the top! Have a great day!
Mike, I have the same goal, but it will be a hard one to accomplish for me. First, some of the Realtors in front of me hooked up with Activerain much before I did. Then, we lost our beloved pooch earlier this year and for awhile, it was difficult for me to concentrate of even care about real estate matters. Now, fortunately, I'm busy and can only spend a certain amount of time blogging, etc.
Good luck to you.
Regards,
Lloyd Nichols
congratulations..I know you can do it..keep on blogging and good luck with your sales..
You have a ways to go but to aspire to be the best is a goal you will set and achieve. Good Luck and good blessings.
Hey Mike -- wishing you the very best on all of your endeavors! Go for it!
I DO find the points and the competitive side of it fun. I'm #1 in my city and county because no one else does much more than just putting up a profile and MAYBE a post ot two. BUT there are a LOT of people on here from Arizona. I'm in the top 50 for my state, and "movin' on up", but the top people have huge points. I'd be happy to get on the first PAGE.
Penny - I like a challenge. I like to push and be pushed. I also want to get Athens back in the featured cities for Georgia on localism.
Lorinda - I have to catch up to folks like you, keep up the good work. Don't make it easy for me.
Lloyd - so sorry to hear about your pooch. Had to put down our Kismet after over 14 years last year. Like the line in Bojangles - after a year I still grieve. I will not put this goal ahead of family or business.
Michael - thanks. Best of luck in Vegas. Hope your market is picking up.
Robert - if you are going to go into something only half way, why do it at all?
C - thanks a lot.
Leslie - a good friend of mine who I used to work with in Chandler built a house up there in Payson. He and his family love it. Good luck on movin' on up.
Mike...
The problem is, as you move up the ladder, the players are a lot more serious. It is so much harder to catch a moving target. Jim knows this, and keeps moving out of bullet range. County level can be easier, it took me forever to move to number one in my county.
But the points make you accountable. I know it keeps me going!
Richard - when I was younger I ran track. Actually held a national record as part of a relay team, for one week. The better the competition I competed against, the better I became. I didn't beat everybody, but one day I did beat the fastest person in the U.S. in 2 events (I had my best day ever, he didn't). I became friends, often close, with most of my competitors around the state (except for the fastest person, he hated me after I beat him, and didn't like me much before that).
I have set my goal as becoming number 1. Will I reach it, I have no idea. To get past Jim, I will have to pass you at #12. That is one hell of a challenge. You are a terrific and prolific contributor to A/R.
If I can be like Rocco, and contend (in all the positive terms of that word) to my best ability, and in turn raise your performance, I might not have reached my goal, but, if it makes me better, if I can say I have done my best (without gaming the system), I will maintain that positive attitude. If I can build friendships and alliances, if I can make myself a better writer, a better person, which are my real goals, becoming number 1 is a strategy, I will have succeeded.
Mike- I am now # 4 in my state, With Jeff Belonger at # 1 I will probably never catch him, but you never know.
Hugh - not a bad position to be in.
Mike, I've been fortunate to always be first in Clarke County as I started posting here over a year ago, but I too have come along way in the state ladder. There is nothing wrong with healthy competition and you just may inspire me to post more frequently to AR, since I spend a lot more time on my "other" blogs now <SWV>.
So, when we are we going to lunch?
Michelle - sounds good to me, let me get back to you on some time next week. I really want to get Athens & Clarke a little more localism exposure.
Mike, nice ThemThem to Michelle & Jim, keep on blogging, but now that the secret is out they are going to kick it in I'll bet. Grin.
Good luck in your quest to be number one. Don't forget to pay the rent along the way.
Duane - I have a devious mind to go along with a competitive spirit.
Robert - I intend to use blogging and paying rent as the means to support each other. I do take a few hours out every day looking to close deals. Except for rare days like yesterday, my blogging is mostly early morning or evening.
