The Love Guru (Movie Review

Last night we were honored to attend a sneak preview of The Love Guru that is scheduled to hit theaters on Friday the 20th of June 2008. Special thanks to Flashback & Whatever of the Cumberland Strip in Knoxville Tennessee for providing the tickets to us. Also a special thanks to Regal West Town Mall 9 for providing the facilities and Hot 104.5 FM and Star 102.1 FM all from Knoxville Tennessee for hosting this great movie. Now, lets get to the review.

I will not give away this movie. I will say that this might be the funniest thing that I have seen in some time. It truly was a blast. On June 20, 2008 the only place that you need to make sure you go is the movie theater to catch this great flick.

This movie was packed with stars. Some are just cameos, but the main players are just too funny. Mike Myers plays the Guru Pitka, Jessica Alba plays the owner of the Toronto Maple Leafs Jane Bullard, Justin Timberlake plays the love interest of Prudence (played by Meagan Good). Prudence is the ex of Maple Leaf great Darren Roanoke (played by Romany Malco)

Darren and Prudence are on the outs and the Maple Leafs are suffering for it. Jane takes matters into her own hands and sets out to hire Guru Pitka to "fix" Darren and get him back with Prudence. I will tell you this much, the last segment of the movie might just be the funniest of the entire movie. It is definitely something that you do not want to miss. Bathroom breaks for this movie are inexcusable.

OK, enough about the movie. just know that you will laugh your fannies off. Make it a date and get to the nearest theater you can find. Heck, for that matter drive an hour if you have to. It is well worth it to see this hit. You will be laughing so hard when you leave the theater that you will want to go see it again. I know that I am going to.

Sounds hysterical, Danny. We don't get out to the movies too much, and my wife prefers romantic type films, but I'll defintely make a note to go see it. Of course, it may be on video by the time I get around to seeing it and movies are on out on videos so quickly these days.

Danny ~ Thanks for the review. I was hoping it was as good as the commercials make it out to be! I love Mike Myers and I can now look forward to seeing this knowing I will laugh (I will laugh, right?).

It was so fun to see a sneak preview! And this movie was awesome! If you liked the Austin Powers series, you will love this. If you are not a fan of puns and sight gags, you probably won't enjoy this! Justin Timberlake in his moustache was hysterical...Mariska Hargitay.

Danny this is one movie I cant wait to watch. Mike Myers is funny. Loved Waynes World, Party time, excellent! lol Thanks for the review I do plan on going to see it.
