There have been challenges for those in the real estate industry for the last few months! And yet buyers are buying, sellers are selling, and agents are closing deals. Home inspections, appraisals, termite, well yields, septic inspections, surveys, and the title work is all getting done. Negotiations are taking place. We are busy, and our industry is moving forward. We are doing buyer consultations and listing presentations, and we are doing them safely.
We have the technology already. Now we have to make better use of it.
Today I did an open house by going early and unlocking the property, opened all doors including closets and turned on ceiling fans, lights and made sure the temperature gauge was cool enough. Signage on my car, on the street, and an announcement on ALL ABOUT REAL ESTATE, my Sunday live real estate radio show.
I was prepared with individual plastic bags with a mask, gloves, and my card, ready to give out. The agents and the buyers all came with their supplies.
What did I do?
I stayed outside on this lovely sunny day, in the shade, and was able to guide prospective buyers and answer all questions. It's not quite as easy talking, masked, at a distance.
But we are getting it all done.
