I was delighted when my clients called and said we are ready to move. When they arrived here from Europe three years ago they had one week to find a home. We found this lovely large new construction infill home, admittedly set among smaller homes, but with lots of expansion and additions going on around it. They were happy with the home, and had done some major landscaping to the back yard; so it was hard to find them their next house. But we did and then we listed this gorgeous home right before Covid-19 hit. We had some open houses which were well attended, then everything ground to a halt.
We used Facebook Live events and had plenty of views but no offers. Then we were allowed to start showing homes again and another person who had relocated to the area but was living in Philadelphia came to see the house. They were deciding between this home and a home being built elsewhere in the township, but that was on a busy road. And what is great about 280 Dayleview Road is it is a circle off a circle, so it is very quiet, everyone knows each other and looks out for each other.
An offer was accepted, the day for the inspection arrived and we had massive storms the night before, power was out, generator was running, but then a fuse blew on the generator. All went well, even with three trees down in the yard, but everything was cleaned up, the house passed its inspection, appraised fine and yesterday it settled.
It has been a busy week with two other rental listings going under agreement as well. Lots of running around. The market here is busy with many buyers looking for homes and little new inventory coming on the market.
