There is a great article in the Seattle times today about the growth of the Pacific Northwest, specifically the greater Seattle area.
Astonishing is the fact that in the last 3 years, the area has already HALF WAY to its 20 year growth projections!
I know in Bellingham, we get lots of coverage about being a great place to retire and raise families etc., but Seattle is usually ranked right up there as well, but even with the publicity from around the country, this growth is CRAZY!
"And a few sections of town — Ballard, Eastlake, the Central Area, Greenlake, Lower Queen Anne and downtown — already have exceeded their 20-year targets"
The article also states that the "targeted growth" is just a method that planners use to decide where and when to accomidate growth.
Now this article has people up in arms over what is going to happen to their neighborhoods!
If you get a chance, read the entire article.
