Why It Makes Sense To Buy A Home

I was talking with someone recently and the topic of buying real estate came up.

It was his opinion that it's always smart to buy real estate.  I tend to agree, unless of course you are buying in a DEpreciating area.

He said, if he sold his home today for enough profit to pay for his next move, that would be enough for him.   Hmmmmm, that got me thinking.

There are a lot of people out there renting right now.  Do they want to buy?  Probably.  What is stopping them?  Money, credit, bad advice?

Most people do not realize that they are already paying a mortgage.  If they are renting, they are paying off someone elses mortgage.  How nice!

Real estate is sort of like the stock market.  There will usually be ups and downs but over time, it will go up in value.  Just ask someone who bought a home in the 70's, paid it off and just sold it recently.  They made money!!  I am not even talking about some of the tax benefits either.  There were some bad times for real estate and the economy during that time.

Now, take the same people and suppose they could not buy for some reason and they rented all that time.  They paid to live somewhere either way, but one way was much smarter.  Most people are going to have to pay to live somewhere, right?  Even Mom and Dad's basement probably gets old real quick!!

So, if you really want to buy but don't think there is a way, just call and find out.  Make a plan and stick to it.  It is still a great time to buy!  There are tons of homes for sale at great prices compared to a few years ago.  Give me a call.  Let's make it happen!
