Controlling Pests (in your garden, not here In The Rain)

By
Services for Real Estate Pros with Ward County Notary Services 607851

My conversation with Tom Smesrude on gardening continues. Today we discuss controlling pests as small as nearly microscopic and as large as deer. If you have a garden you are going to have thieves of all sizes seize upon your labor.

Minot Today is broadcast over the air on two Minot radio stations every Friday. You can find it on 106.9 FM at 12:15 (Noonish) and again at 4:45 on 1320 AM. Of course I always post the broadcast as a Podcast here as well as my Podcast site at Pod-O-Matic.

Good morning, Bob "RealMan" Timm my thumb is any and every color OTHER THAN GREEN..... and I always wanted to have a garden.... now I have a tomatoe plant in a large pot that does not need to be transplanted.... it's not a garden, but it's a START!!!

Good morning Bob. No gardening from my home in the sky in the downtown concrete jungle of Chicago. When you mentioned deer, they can consume plants like machines. Worked at a upscale country club where we held a professional seniors tournament. Two days before the start the owners wanted six figures worth of flowers planted to add color to the entrance road. Planted by 5PM and consumed by 5AM. Enjoy your day!

Bob "RealMan" Timm I seem to have the same kind of thumb as Barbara Todaro and mostly it's black!

Hi Bob "RealMan" Timm - I love vegetables but have never had a veggie garden.

Container gardening is a start for sure Barbara Todaro . Not the easiest start either I might add because it's tricky knowing just how much to water a container garden and for me it's hard NOT to over plant one as well.

Wayne Martin , wow, that is a lot of money to feed any group of guests... especially unwanted guests!

I'm no expert myself Nina Hollander and I'd rather plant flowers then veggies but it's been veggies ever since I've been married because I married an extremely practical girl (why she married me I have no clue ).

Grant Schneider the veggies I grow are very easy, put the seeds in and water every once in a while. I'd rather enjoy the beauty of flowers but I also enjoy saving a little money on groceries.

Bob,

At one time we had several large gardens which include fruit trees and vegetables.  I loved it all, and now I am happy shopping at the Farmers Market...A

Morning Bob.

The garden is for my wife, not for me.  No green thumb, never had one, never will

Ron and Alexandra Seigel I think we all enjoy your shopping at the Farmers Market as you always share some great pictures from the market.

James Dray so far this year it doesn't appear that my green thumb is working so well. It has been cooler and dryer then normal and that is a tough combination to deal with.

I appreciate your noticing that I've been pretty absent lately Endre Barath, Jr. I miss being here but I have been so swamped at work and I'm tired of being swamped when I was counting on a more peaceful semi-retirement.

Hello Bob,  I hear a number of items to keep pest out of gardens from moth balls to other pesticides.

Will Hamm I forgot to ask him about moth balls as I too have heard of that many times. I will ask him next time I visit with him.
