Introducing the Songjiang Hotel outside of Shanghai China; with its jaw dropping design and all inclusive services it appeals to all vacationers from near and far. What makes this 400 bed resort so unique is that it is set in a lush deep, water filled quarry in the Songjiang district of China. The concept developed by Atkins Design Studio, was inspired by the natural water and landscape of the quarry.

The resort plans to stretch two levels higher than the 100 meter deep quarry. It also will include a ten meter deep aquarium, underwater public areas, and restaurants. The lowest levels will contain swimming pools and water based sports facilities while the upper levels are to be venues for extreme sports activities such as rock climbing and bungee jumping.
