WOW!  Like you I'm not sure how to take this either. It made me laugh though.  Maybe a more professional sign?  LOL

Why doesn't he just join AR and blog?  He wouldn't have to wear that dumb hat to prevent sunburn.

That is pretty good! I totally do get that we need to be progressive and different and innovative, but I do not think that all of this means desperate. I think I like Lorrie's idea. Maybe he should join Active Rain and do some strong consumer focused posts

Okay...  At first I was suspect of the link off of AR however interesting video...

Obviously this guy missed the internet revolution...  Probably thought it was a fad...  Figured if he stayed offline (actually standing in the middle traffic) the pendulum would swing back and he'd pick up clients who gave up on the internet in favor or street vendors.

Just think of the clients that this guy is likely to get...  Well at least we know that his clients will likely own a car.

And I love Chicago...

All the Best,

Well I figure at least he is being friendly and putting himself out there. Maybe he can teach us all about "Guerilla" Marketing for Realtors!

Vince Siemer of Missouri ran a full blown and very successful advertising campaign with a very similar concept and a cardboard sign "Will Sell Homes For Food".  The key is that he did this with a disclaimer that he was donating money from every sale to a very public organization.  He was dressed up really sharp in suit and had a cardboard sign.  It didn't hurt that Vince was a VERY well known real estate professional.  He spun the marketing to his farm areas, past clients and it paid big for him and his charity.

I'm going with "desperate"....very desperate.

It's been my experience that people shy away from those who come across as desperate.  It's human nature to want to work with someone who exudes professionalism, success, strength, knowledge and displays a positive attitude.
