Summer is the Time For Home Improvement.

Owning a home is not with out some duties and responsibilities.  It is a piece of real property that needs to be maintained.  Just like a pair of shores, that needs to be wiped down, polished and kept clean and dry.

I am not trying to make the whole process simple as taking care of shoes but if you want to maintain a homes value you do need routine maintenance.  We do reach a certain point in home ownership that we need to actually do some improvements to simply maintain that homes value.  Here is a quick info graphic that explains some of the home improvements you should consider.

There is a popular movement when doing a home remodel to consider:

1.  Tend to the room that needs the most work first.  This is probably the room in the home that you spend the most time.

Read. KITCHEN, then bedrooms and bathrooms.

2.  Flooring might be part of that first issue and falls next on my suggested list.  If the home has popcorn on the ceiling, consider doing this at the same time to avoid extra clean up efforts and expenses.

3.  Certain types of exterior finishes do require paint periodically, but as a minimum, consider pressure washing those dirty walls.

4.  Landscaping is a never ending chore of home improvement.  Grass, trees, shrubs all need to be maintained.  Sprinkler systems need routine tuning.

Summer is better than any other season for getting it done.

Anyone have a home improvement project planned for the summer?

These are the four most popular projects right now. Numbers 3 and 4 are all about curb appeal.
