Happy Friday from Montecito aka Santa Barbara!

By
Services for Real Estate Pros with Napa Consultants DRE00893924

We often go out to lunch on Friday's on the Santa Barbara side of Montecito.  Pictured above are the umbrellas of the Honor Bar Restaurant.  Further down on the left, you would see the umbrellas of Lucky's and the Montecito inn.  On the other side bright orange umbrellas are for Jeanine's restaurant.

All retail and restaurants on the ocean side is considered Santa Barbara (postal zone)...so although most of us would refer to the town as Montecito, Santa Barbara lay claim to the ocean side many years ago.

Happy Friday, and we wish you a wonderful weekend!

How interesting! So Santa Barbara is kind of also Montecito.  Confusing!!  But a lovely looking place to enjoy lunch at the patio!

Anna Banana Kruchten Arizona's Top Banana! When the city fathers drew the map, they made sure to claim the coast from Montecito to Goleta where the Santa Barbara airport is.  They included part to the Los Padres National Forest!  LOL, Our little village, and Summerland are their own entities and that goes for the ocean side also...A

Anna Banana Kruchten Arizona's Top Banana! my guess that it is a case of politics, and the number of potential voters and taxes...A

Still sounds confusing to an outsider!  And when they drew up maps in my area a lot of it doesn't make a lot of sense either. Such as you have a Phoenix home address but you really are in Glendale?  Huh?!!

Michael Jacobs we agree, I leaned this after a visit to Santa Barbara when I bought shoes in what I thought was Montecito.  Calling them to order something, they made sure I wrote the address as Santa Barbara..And Montecito has a big   tax on top of CA's property tax...LOL A

It sounds like Santa Barbara took the good land, haha.  That does look like a beautiful area to visit.

It's so fortunate to have the year round good weather in your area. We worry about the many restaurants as we are getting close our wet and cold season - it's going to be challenging to keep providing outdoor dining options. Tarps and heaters? Lol
