Great house with ugly bathroom priced to sell at $289,900

I admit this house has not one but two really ugly bathrooms. The tile is in really good shape but is not very attractive in a brown and white mosiac pattern. If you can do tile work you could really make some nice sweat equity on this home. It sits on a realy nice .67 acre lot and even has a 2 car garage. The kitchen has new cabinets, flooring and countertops but could use newer appliances.

Its a great price for a single home on this size lot in the Fallston school district in Harford county.

Kelley - I love this ad! I once wrote a newpaper ad - "dump for sale, creepy and crawly, yard full of weeds, ugliest paint inside and out",etc. I got almost 100 phone calls, sold it for top dollar in a week. The sellers were great sports and helped me write the ad.

Ok, against my better judgement I will take some photos of this ugly bathroom. I am not a great fan of bathroom shots even when they are nice. It just seems too personal. But, give me some time to get over there and then post them. In the meantime, if any of you have phots of really ugly rooms lets share them for a good chuckle.

I have an REO listing with red carpet and green and yellow walls...yuck!!!!

You know I looked at the photos and you cannot get the full effect of the outdated colors and shabby cabinet in a photo. You know how some of those nasty listings actually look okay in the photos. I think this bathroom is one of them. It looks pretty mediocre in the photos. But, trust me, it is for sure in need of an update.

Ah Kelly, I know what you mean, the lighting may not be right, bright or effective enough to truly bring out the hideousness of a color scheme. I've checked into hotels while traveling at night, too tired to pay attention, only to be horrified at the crack of dawn while sitting on the bowl watching the sun come up through a cracked, frosted tiny window to proclaim in distraction, "eeewww, what were THEY thinking when they decorated in here?" [Did I mention I was a very visual person? I am. Color means a lot to me.] :-)

Kelly - We MUST see pics of the bathrooms!!!! Have you thought about having the bathrooms Sparkled? They can coat the entire room - walls included and it isn't very expensive. It looks like a white tornado hit the room...but at least it's white!!!!

Hate to bring it up, but more pictures would be good. Maybe try postlets.com for an easy way to lay out more photos. :)

I wasn't quite prepared for the title of this post when it popped up on my screen. I need to learn to quit drinking root beer while I'm reading blogs. Either that or buy some stock in a keyboard manufacturing company. LOL
