Hello Everyone,

Spokane Real Estate ExpertOk watch out I have to have a small vent on companies. I will start off by saying haven't we all called a customer service line that was far from customer service. It seems I have had to call many businesses lately and deal with issues. Most have fallen way short. I will say Farmers Insurance and Appleway Toyota in Spokane Wa have been great, while Cosco (DJG) who makes cribs for Walmart has been horrible, we are trying to get a plastic peice that got lost and it's only a 4 yr old crib and they don't make the part anymore. It's a todler convertable crib which need to be used for about like 7-8 years so they might of wanted to save a few parts. Their customer relations lady hung up on me.

So I also used Enterprize rent a car and they called back asking how the service was. I said the people were nice, but it took over 30 minutes to get my car and they should have had my information since it was from an insurance deal where someone backed into us. They made me fill out a bunch of forms and the wait was very long to actually get helped and get the car. They pick you up, yes to wait forever in their lobby. :P I wondered if the person calling really cared about getting feedback and if they would do anything about it. We will see.

Don't walk on your customers! This is my point. As Realtors we are the company. I tell people it doesn't matter what company you hire, because that company will have agents that are bad and agents that are good. The company has little to do with their successfull purchase or sale. It's just hype. You hired the agent and they are the company to you. In bad companies there are good agents and in good companies there are bad agents and that goes for brokers also. I do an interview when people hire us and after people hire us. I really want to know what my clients think. Good or bad, because I care. I want to know why they picked us and not another agent, I want to know what we can do better or our weakest points. I also want to know after they are done, how they would rate us compared to how they thought we would do. This proves if you deliver on what sold them on you.

In this busy and competitive world if you don't listen to your clients and care about them, they will go somewhere else and also let everyone know how bad it was and how they wer treated. Apply this to your own business and make sure you deliver real customer service and that your slogans line up with what you actually do. Don't buy the garbage from cosco because they don't stand behind their products, and voice your opinion about the good and bad people and companies you have dealt with because this keeps companies honest and calls out people whose marketing doesn't line up with what they deliver. Oh and by the way that goes for Top Producer who bait and switched people into buying online services and then charged extra for the extra's they said you would get by going with the more expensive online version of their software.  Visit sites like www.yelp.com that let you review and keep people honest.

Well, I might have you beat, October 2007 I ordered from the Sky Mall Catalog on the plane, well I got my order after several weeks, and it was damaged so I started calling (daily)  i JUSTED WANTED AN UNDAMAGED PRODUCT, they informed me they have to call the company they get it from  then get back with me, after a month I called my credit card company and rejected the charge, thinking this would get them going NO it didn't.  I continuted to e-mail them daily after the first two weeks ( I wanted a written record) after 2.5 months I sent these ( MY DAILY E-MAILS) to my credit card company and they said don't pay they were reversing the charge to them, they tried to get them to pick it up and after another 1.5 months they told me it would cost to much to pick up just dispose of it, so I called Goodwill and THE MORAL IS DON'T BUY ANYTHING FROM SKYMALL

I will do you one better and say "You are the Industry". I would say that there would be far less FSBO's out there and fewer people shopping with out Realtors had they not had a bad experience with a Realtor or two giving the whole industry a black eye. Some times I thank God for Lawyers and Politicians who keep us from the bottom rung of public opinion.

In referance to the 1st part of your blog entry: If you read my posts you will see the bottom two of customer service companies in my book are Razor Scooters as #1 and Epson Printers as #2.

Customer service is always key to any successful business... and always infuriating when companies don't know how to spell it!

Great post. I am going to check yelp.com. Because of cutbacks we will experience more of bad customer service as they are under staffed.

Yes, we have all had are share of this and I am glad that the public is getting more vocal and more mobile. Why have a customer service department if there is no customer service there. Sprint was another example of a copany with no customer service. I had a phone treo 650 and I could never get my email to work and they reset and gave me a refurbished one 3 times and they didn't work, I said I wanted another phone but Iwas a day past my 15 day return and they wouldn't do anything.

I finally got a manager in the valley to swap it out, but the company was horrible. The worst is when the company has a great product but horrible service.

Spokane Washington Real Estate Expert It's time to go beyond asking for feedback to doing something with it. Like I said the Enterprise guy called, but what would have been remarkable is if the manager called back and said yes we are sorry and I adjusted the scheduling to make sure we have enough people to serve you. Oh by the way here is a free 2 day rental for the weekend.

I would have talked about them for sure. If you pay that much to follow up, get your wow out of it.
