If you are in New Haven or are planning on being in the area and are in the mood for the best pizza around, Pepe's Pizza in New Haven is the place to be.  Pepe's is located in the city of New Haven's Wooster Square, the Italian neighborhood.  People line up outside as soon as the pizzeria opens at 11:30 am. 

Once inside you will see high-ceilinged dining rooms and of course a huge tiled oven in the very open kitchen.  Looking for a menu?  You won't find one here.  Just glance at the sign on the wall that advertises their "pies made to order".    Prices range from the very modest to the most expensive clam pizza.

I-95 SOUTHBOUND:

Take Exit to I-91 North, and immediately take Exit 2, (Hamilton Street) RIGHT at light, RIGHT onto Chapel Street, go thru two lights, 1st LEFT Depalma Court to LEFT onto Wooster Street.

I-91 SOUTHBOUND:

Take Exit 2 (Hamilton St) RIGHT at light, RIGHT at light onto Chapel St., go STRAIGHT thru two lights, 1st LEFT, Depalma Court to LEFT onto Wooster Street.

FROM ROUTE 34:

Take Ella Grasso Boulevard, go STRAIGHT thu lights. Now you're on George Street, stay STRAIGHT on George to end (approx 2 miles) thru New Haven Center, take LEFT onto State Street - Chapel Street 1st RIGHT, thru 1 light, 2nd RIGHT on Olive Street, Wooster Street 1st LEFT.
