Crock Pot Apple Crisp

6 C. cooking apples, peeled, cored and sliced

1/2 C. dry quick oatmeal

1/2 C. brown sugar

1/2 C. flour

2 Tbs. butter

1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon

Place apples in slow cooker that has been spray with non-fat cooking spray. Combine remaining

ingredients in a mixing bow until crumbles form. Sprinkle mixture over apples.

Cover and cook on low 4hrs or on high 2 hrs.

It sounds pretty good but I only know how to microwave. Do you hire out <grin>???

who ever invented the crock pot was brilliant! The microwave works wonders too, but the crock pot will make you look like a gourmet chef! LOL

I LOVE cooked apples. What type apples do you use in this recipe? I like the granny smith the best but I don't know if that is consided a cooking apple. Please advise!!

Hi Penny-This recipe sounds scrumptious. No calories right! It's amazing all the stuff you can cook in a crockpot. I'm going to have to try this. Apple season is right around the corner.
