Doug, all things considered, I'd trade places with you...but then I'd have to live in Oregon. Oregon has 1407 profiles. There are 14,031 profiles in California.

Doug - For me, I became the #1 AR member for points in Texas today, and it happened mainly just from being consistent. Good luck with your continued trek in the Rain!

California has too many members, but what a challenge. Way to go Doug.
Good for you Doug. I love to blog, but I get so busy with so many things that I have enough trouble making my deadlines for the monthly real estate column I write for the Sacramento Union. And I can't imagine ever being #1 in California. Not only are there thousands of us here, but some of them have so many points it would take me years to catch them even if they never blogged again. I'm lucky to be one of the 2 featured bloggers in Fair Oaks, CA.
I think some people get huge numbers by just hitting on tons of blogs and writing "great post" and then moving on. They get points, but do they benefit from the community?
Doug, congratulations. I know what you mean. I made it to page one in my State of Virginia a couple of weeks ago. There are several people way ahead of me that I'm happy to be in the top 25.
