Very true Scott, I was watching recently Zemith from St. Petersburg won with Bayern Munich and then with Glagow Rangers in the final ogf the UEFA Cup.  A lot of amazing youg player.  I am fan of Dutch, but Russians might be a tough team to beat. Thanks for stopping buy.

Sorry, Portugal just lost 2:3 to Germany! They could win it easily, but in soccer if you don't score when you have a chance it will bait you. Portugese could score first goal, instead Germany scored a minute later.  Also, Ricardo gave away the 3rd goal (as Greek goalie in the game against Russia).

I got almost all of them wrong.  Out of my 4 picks, 3 lost (Portugal, Croatia and netherlands) and only Spain (by a thin hair) advenced.  So we wiil have following teams in semifinals:

• Russia - Spain (they already played once and Spain won 4:1; however after Russians became "Dutch killers" in qurterfinals, they are cerainly capable  beating Spain the 2nd time)
• Germany - Turkey (Turks will be missing so many players due to injuries and suspensions so it is difficult to expect them to pull out another surprise)

Here is my pick for the final:

• Germany - Russia

By the way, my younger son picked up 3 winners of quarterfinals out of 4: Germany, Spain and Turkey.  Hi missed only Rusia (Netherlands looked after all as the strongest team bound to win the Championships this year!)

I was wrong again.  It is Germany - Spain in the final. Spaniards killed Russians and Germans squeezed by Turks scoring a goal in the last minute.  It was great game.  Turkey had a great tournament coming 3 times from behind and almost beating Germany in the semifinal.  What a great tournament!
