Free Drive-Up COVID-19 Testing in Rockville

The Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services will provide free COVID-19 testing from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 8 at the DHHS offices, 401 Hungerford Drive.

This is an outdoor drive-up clinic. Walk-ups are welcome. No appointments needed.

The county is also offering testing noon-4 p.m. Friday, Oct. 9 and 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 10 at Rockville United Methodist Church, 112 W. Montgomery Ave., as well as 11 a.m.-5 p.m. every other Friday, beginning Oct. 16, at Lincoln Park Community Center, 357 Frederick Ave.

Hi Roy Kelley one of the most important announcements every day would be a testing location for Covid-19.... there's nothing more important in my opinion....

That's a wonderful thing to have available. My poor mom has been feeling warm at times, no fever, but she worries about Covid all of the time. We are getting her thyroid checked today, and if she really stays anxious, we'll likely get her a Covid test to relieve her mind. That's half the battle at times.

Election day—Tuesday, Nov. 3—is about one month away, and for those who have ordered mail-in ballots (it is not too late to do that), they will arrive soon, if they have not already arrived. In Montgomery County, there will be only about 40 polling places open throughout the County on Election Day (usually there are 255 voting locations).
