It was a beautiful day in the DFW area on Sunday and more nice weather is expected for the remainder of the week. Be sure to stay up late tonight to see the starry night featuring Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn, and the moon and Venus before dawn. Mars will finally reach opposition, maximum brightness on 10/13, its closet approach to Earth until 2035 and will be recognizable in the color red!

The Marty Chapel in Fort Worth is an interesting none-denominational chapel that is architecturally interesting. Often used as a Wedding Chapel it is located at 3131 Sanguinet Street in Fort Worth. Yesterday afternoon there was a Military Wedding with Bag Piper.

Main Street on Grapevine is very community minded. Yesterday's banner across Main Street announced "Walk To End Alzheimer's" to be held on October 17, 2020. In honor of Barbara Todaro and all our loved ones who are on this journey, please visit by clicking on the link for Alzheimer's Association Website  or go directly to www.alz.org. There's a walk for the cause everywhere. The website will show you where you can sign up.

October is also Breast Cancer Awareness Month In honor of Lottie KendallKathleen Daniels, Probate & Trust Specialist, and women and men everywhere who have been down this path, let's all do our part to support the cause. For more information on how you can support loved ones and friends with Breast Cancer follow the link (Breast Cancer Awareness Month) or go directly to www.National Breast Cancer.org. As a daughter, niece of many Aunts, and a friend to many who didn't survive, supporting the cause for these and other life saving causes is the very least we can do.

When you wish upon a star, wish for a cure for many diseases and the pandemic to end soon. If you are a person of faith, pray for mercy, Family, First Responders, Medical Researchers, Doctors, and Nurses too.

Wayne Martin - My deepest condolences to you on the loss of your many friends. In addition to "more research and progress," we need more people like good old Jerry Lewis for muscular dystrophy and Danny Thomas for St. Jude. Both Jerry and Danny were Saints on earth! Those were the days when the money was never scammed or people cheated. People could donate by money or check and to my knowledge identity theft did not exist. Most of all, that money was used for all the right reasons and many lives were and will continue to be saved.

Michael Jacobs - When you think about it, now that people started living longer, many have spent more years fighting diseases or being sick than when they were children. Sadly, the opportunity to live out ones golden years on sufficient income and good health doesn't exist. Even worse, when a disease progresses and there is no cure a gauntlet of challenges, obstacles, and even humiliation transpires over time. I can't think of one person who wants to be a burden on others.

Kat Palmiotti - The bagpiper played well! I was so thankful I happened to be at the right place when he began to play and end. It's such a unique sound. It's not often I hear bagpipers play in person.

Is it just me, or do you think there is a higher demand to find a cure for more diseases today than when we were children and/or young adults?

I really like the look of that chapel.  Will you be photographing Mars?  I hope that you will since your photos are amazing and I would love to see it.  I wonder if Trish will be trying to photograph it.

Gooe evening Patricia Feager, MBA, CRS, GRI,MRP ,

Love your post today. We are so fortune to live in the US and I agree with Rocky Dickerson your post is like the good News channel..I have tuned the TV channels out..so tired of their negativity. My son's mother in law just passed away at 66 with early Alzheimer's and it was a huge wake up call at how precious life is.

Brian England - You would really enjoy some quiet time inside the Chapel. The architect who built it also build another one in Arkansas. Both are very similar in design but the one in Arkansas is more private surrounded by trees in a wooded area. Both are very peaceful.

Thanks for your compliment about my photograph. I just love taking photographs. In order to take photos of the moon and the planets, I would need a telescope and a smart phone. In case Trish would like to know, the link I included in paragraph 2 would be very helpful.

Besides my smart phone I rely heavily on the other two 35mm cameras I have, Nikon + telescopic lens and Canon + telescopic lens. .

Dorie Dillard CRS GRI ABR - My deepest condolences to your family for the passing of your son's mother-in-law. I wish someone could explain why so many people in their 70-80's get Alzheimer's. Did it have something to do with the war? Building Technology? Chemicals? Hazardous materials? Water from their generation? I experienced my Aunt going through it when she lived alone and it was very painful to witness the progression and how quickly life fades.

I think if the vast majority of people would admit it, they would all same the same thing about T.V. I get tired of changing channels. It's always the same thing, not interesting, not funny, not entertaining, not education. It's just offensive and a bunch of lies. The news media is unreliable but that's because there's only one channel that I know of in DFW that isn't controlled by billionaires that control the news. For reliable news, I watch OneAmerica News.

Thank you, so much for agreeing with Rocky. I greatly appreciate it and you too!
