Energy Efficiency

Energy Efficiency

.

Energy Efficiency.  When you see, hear or otherwise experience those two words especially when they are combined as one topic, one of your first thoughts might be of automotive fuel.

Comparing one vehicle against another to determine the make and model which will provide the best miles per gallon is but only one way to think of the term.

Maybe it's a mechanical system for a building. It could also involve mproving a task through better organization or other skills.  But energy efficiency can be something a bit more personal too.

A complainer is like a Death Eater

because

there is a suction of negative energy.

You can catch a great attitude

from great people.

                                                          Barbara Corcoran

Energy begets energy

                                                           Dolly Parton

Ideas excite me,

and as soon as I get excited,

the adrelaine gets going

and the next thing I know

I'm borrowing energy

from the ideas themselves.

                                                          Ray Bradbury

We are able to monitor, maintain and  manage it but we can maximize energy.  "Products" and "Personally".

At a certain age we often have less energy than we did when younger so becoming more efficient with the energy we do have the better. Steering clear of energy vampires is a must. As far as saving energy in my home I use fans to bring in the cool air of early morning and evening and block the hot sun's rays with reflectix in the windows but also to keep the cold out in the winter. While A/C is nice when it is really hot it isn't very energy efficient and it can be costly. Not a fan of A/C.

Michael,

I enjoyed where you took us in your exploration of energy...I think many of us are too obsessed with efficiency, and I like  Ray Bradbury's view. A

Michael, we had a question in the Q & A about unplugging appliances, etc., with our vehicle it is nice to have a car that is not a gas hog.

Grant Schneider - indeed!  Needless consumption of wasteful activities definitely exists in everyday life.  It's good that we can control such things.

Nina Hollander - I like each of the quotes as well. That's one of the reasons I didn't choose just one.

Sham Reddy CRS - thank you for the comment.

Wayne Martin - I like your way of thinking.

Sharon Lee - there are alternative ways to cool as well as warm ourselves beyond a typical forced air cooling/heating device.  I like your reference to the steering clear of energy vampires which exist.  Often unseen but not necessarily unnoticed.

Lawrence "Larry" & Sheila Agranoff. Cell: 631-805-4400 - "simple" works.

Ron and Alexandra Seigel - the insight of Ray Bradbuy extended quite far.  So many of his words remain true today.

Joan Cox - the subject has also been discussed much in our area as we continue to experience higher than normal temperatures.

Hi Michael- years ago I had a consultant who worked for me and she was a top producer. She also was not very efficient with her energy...or as I called it, she didn't know how to work smart.

Hi Michael Jacobs I love energy that's shared within a small group of people.... energy DOES beget energy.....

I never think about mileage on my car....or oil consumption in my home.... my home is energy efficient enough.... and my car is fast.... I don't care how much gas it uses.... I want to be the first one who gets out of the way when I'm in my car...

Michael I loved Ray Bradbury, when I was in HS his book was mandatory reading... glad it was when I became an adult I loved him.... then when I met him at the Festival of Books at UCLA I loved him even more.... he was frail but kept signing his books to keep his fans happy... book sellers used to joke looking for a rare Bradbury book hard to do they are all signed:))Endre
