Fall is a really fun time of year! Usually it is the time to nestle into our homes and truly enjoy the season. Halloween may be a little different this year because we won't have trick-or-treaters as we traditionally do. But, there is still fun to be had! Here are some great ideas for the kids to enjoy! In Southern California, it doesn't really get all that chilly usually. Although fall has already begun, we are still seeing days at record temperatures even into the 90s! After feeling a little trapped by COVID 19, many people think that nestling into their homes is the last thing they want to do! They want to get out and get some fresh air! Go for a drive and find fall
Go on a walk in search of fall colors
There are lots of locations surrounding the greater LA area that have beautiful fall colors. Some places to consider are The Angeles Forest and The Arboretum. The Arboretum is even having a fall event called Ghoulish Gardens which is a self-guided tour you can check out with the kids this month.
Have some fall foods that will always put you in the mood
Whether it is hot cocoa or apple cider those are two favorites that will really make you feel like Fall is upon us. Enjoy some pumpkin scones, or yummy traditional pasteries. Butter nut squash soup, hearty stews, you can even do a turkey dinner! No one needs to wait for Thanksgiving Day to enjoy all the comfort foods that we love at this time of year!
San Pedro
On the corner of S. Western and Miraleste Drive is a pumpkin patch that we love called DeLuca Farms! There are pony rides, petting of small animals like pigs, goats, bunnies and more! Large blow up slides, and even hay rides. There are tons of pumpkins to choose from. This is a great place to enjoy the day. The location is very close to the beach and while you are there you can stop by Point Fermin Park where you can walk along the ocean or play at the park and enjoy views of Catalina Island.
Make your home feel like fall
You always want to have pumpkins out front, that is just tradition! This year we have seen so many creative things to do with your pumpkins, No carve pumpkin ideas.
Now is a great time to start a garden too. Collect flowers in fall colors like Chrysanthemums that come in rust reds, yellows, oranges, and maroons. You can also look at different wreaths for the front door that feel welcoming and warm. Even a different fall door mat can add some color and change the way you feel when you walk through he door. Candles in an array of scents can also bring fall indoors and especially at night when you just want to relax. Our favorite is Leaves from Bath & Body Works.
The Fall Real Estate Market
It is a great time to buy or sell in this fall real estate market. So much is happening right now. We have seen so much demand from buyers and sellers are catching on the fact that even though we have a pandemic on our hands nothing is stopping people from buyer and selling!

If you want to take advantage of these historically low interest rates, now is the time! More inventory is starting to hit the market too. If you have been thinking about a move but have worried about competition, now may be the time to jump into the market. Some folks jump out once the holidays hit so that means less compeitition for you! You will be amazed at how great of an investment real estate can be once you have had a chance to buy your own home!

The demand for homes is so high right now that waiting until January just isn't the smartest thing to do this time. People in the past have believed if they didn't sell in Summer they should wait. With this being an election year, we just don't know where things will be in January. We just know as of today this is one hot seller's market and it is a fantastic time to be a seller!
