On October 15, 2020, The National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) Remodeling Market Index (RMI) rose to 82 points in the 3rd quarter of 2020 from 73 points in the 2nd quarter of 2020.
The current market conditions index gained nine points to 86 points in the 3rd quarter of 2020 from 77 points 2nd quarter of 2020.
The major additions and alterations higher ten points to 80 points in the 3rd quarter of 2020 from 70 points 2nd quarter of 2020.
The moderately sized remodeling projects up eight points to 86 points in the 3rd quarter of 2020 from 78 points 2nd quarter of 2020.
The demand for smaller additions and alterations increased seven points to 90 points in the 3rd quarter of 2020 from 83 points 2nd quarter of 2020.
NAHB Chief Economist Robert Dietz, stated “The third quarter RMI reading of 82 indicates strong remodeler sentiment, as business has strengthened as home owners focus on the importance of home for work and life amidst the pandemic and its consequences,"
