Numerous markets around New Mexico have a large number of 2nd homebuyers and investors. For instance, many Texans maintain ski homes in Taos or Angel Fire. Californians have large ranches in various rural areas. Many Chicagoans winter or relocate altogether to Las Cruces, Santa Fe, or Silver City.
Many of these individuals may assume that even though they have many discounted options for selling their homes in major cities (online, flat fee, etc.), they do not have these options in smaller areas. This is simply not the case. Flat fee listings for $299 are the reality throughout almost the entire State of New Mexico with few exceptions. Someone who owns a home in Clovis or Gallup could just as easily list flat fee with Congress Realty for $299 as a homeowner in Albuquerque.
