Who doesn’t love pasta? Did you know that there are over 600 pasta shapes, each with a delicious purpose? For many of us, red tomato spaghetti sauce is commonly used when cooking our favorite pasta, but there is a variety of sauce we can choose from, from alfredo sauce, clam sauce, cheese sauce, and among others. There are more reasons why we need to eat pasta, aside from affordable, it’s a simple meal to make.

Let’s try this Garden Pasta Salad Recipe;

This is a quick and easy pasta salad recipe, perfect for mid-summer meals and picnics.

Ingredients:

• 1 1/2 cup elbow or small shell macaroni

• 1 large tomato, diced

• 1 cup zucchini, chopped

• 1/3 cup bottled Italian dressing

• 2 tsp. parsley, chopped

• 1/8 tsp. black pepper

Preparation Directions:

1. Boil water with a small amount of salt in a large pan.

2. Cook pasta until tender, stirring occasionally.

3. Drain pasta and allow to cool slightly.

4. Place pasta, diced tomatoes, and chopped zucchini in a large serving bowl.

5. Add dressing to moisten.

6. Toss lightly.

7. Add parsley and black pepper, toss lightly.

8. Serve warm or cold.
