Hello Paul - I have taken these words to heart in certain situations.  Of course, there are other things that can't be explained easily and people look for an "easy" explanation.  It can be a conundrum which is a word that is not used often, is it?  

Albert Einstein was right, Paul. When I was still in the corporate world and managed pensions as part of my responsibilities, I remember one of our investment managers saying that if an investment manager can't articulate their investment philosophy in three sentences in English... they don't have a philosophy. I never forgot that message.

I love the photo and of course the quote by Albert Einstein. You must understand to be able to articulate and pass on an explanation to someone else simply. It isn't always easy which forces us back to revisit so we understand completely.

Or the person likes to hear themselves talk! (There are some who understand but just can't simplify!)

This is an excellent quote to share and a good reminder for all of us.

I have never felt like I have to understand everything completely and there are definitely things in my life that I have faith in but don't completely understand.

Paul, we do need to explain our business to our clients in THEIR language, not ours.

Boy Paul, you hit the nail on the head today. I have so many recent experiences with someone trying to teach me something when the truth was they didn't even understand it themselves.
