New Jersey Motorsports Park's Thunderbolt Raceway Opening Summer 2008

For all you car racing fans in the Delaware Valley and Mid-Atlantic area, the New Jersey Motorsports Park (NJMP) is preparing for the start of events at their nearly completed Thunderbolt Raceway.  

Located near the City of Millville in Cumberland County, NJ, it is over "700 acres conveniently, situated in the heart of the Mid-Atlantic Region, within easy driving distance from New York City, Philadelphia, PA, and Washington, DC., New Jersey Motorsports Park will be one of the most unique and dynamic Motorsports Parks in the country. This world-class complex will not only feature the 2.25 mile signature Thunderbolt Raceway, but it will also feature a 1.9 mile roadcircuit known as the Lightning. It offers an incredible amount of diverse and dynamic motorsports attractions.

When completed, New Jersey Motorsports Park will also include a first class karting facility, an ATV course, a 3/4 mile tri-oval speedplex, as well as a host of amenities and attractions that include a member's only clubhouse, VIP suites, trackside villas, hotel and conference center, restaurants, retail and raceplex businesses, restaurants, educational outlets, and other unique project attractions that will truly drive excitement closer to everyone in the entire region."  

The NJMP  kicks off its inaugural spectator event season with a month long grand opening celebration, starting in August. Click here for a list of events.

The park is developing it's facilities in phases, Included in just the first phase of this tremendous facility are: 2 world class road courses (Thunderbolt and Lightning); an exclusive motorsports country club known as the Drivers Club; unique trackside Villa homes, and a first class karting facility where anyone can experience the thrill of motorsports behind the wheel for the first time.
