On October 22, 2020, NAR.Realtors reported on median home value price was $311,800 in September of 2020 higher 14.8% from the price of $271,500 in September of 2019.
Single family home sales were at annual rate of 5.87 million units in September of 2020 rose 9.7% from the annual rate of 5.35 million home sales in August of 2020, and jumped 21.8% from home sales rate in September of 2019. The median single family home price was $316,200 in September of 2020, gained 15.2% from September of 2019.
Condominium and co-op sales increased 6.3% to an annual rate of 670,000 units in September of 2020 from August of 2020, and higher 13.6% from September of 2019. Median existing condo price was $272,700 in September of 2020, up 9.9% from September of 2019.
Distressed homes sales were 1.0% in September of 2020 unchanged from 1.0% in August of 2020, but down from 2.0% in September of 2019.
Lawrence Yun, NAR chief economist, stated "The uncertainty about when the pandemic will end coupled with the ability to work from home appears to have boosted sales in summer resort regions, including Lake Tahoe, mid-Atlantic beaches (Rehoboth Beach, Myrtle Beach), and the Jersey shore areas,"
