Proverbs 24:27
“Finish your outdoor work and get your fields ready; after that, build your house.”
If you know anything about farming there is a seed time, and a harvest time. You need to work the land and plant the seeds to have a harvest. Before planting the seed the farmer needs to plow the fields. In between planting and harvesting a farmer needs to cultivate the the land, perhaps pick the rocks, spray the weeds. They may have an irrigation system for watering and for certain they need to have rain, sunshine and the weather that helps them have a harvest.
That is the simplified version but in reality it's a lot of work, diligence and patience to get the abundant harvest that a farmer desires. In whatever you are doing to have an abundant harvest you to will need to continually plant seeds, and take the steps needed in-between seed time and harvest to get an abundant harvest.
You can’t go “build your house” with out the harvest happening. The GOOD you desire takes a harvest. The harvest helps build your house of GOODNESS. If you look at your desired good as “the house you are building” then you will continue to need to be doing as a farmer does and prepare, plant, and diligently take care of the ground your seeds are planted on. And God will do his part of bringing the rain, sunshine and climate needed for the abundant harvest! Be wise in how you manage your work!
LORD I AM THANKFUL THAT I DONT HAVE TO DO THIS ALL ON MY OWN. THAT YOU WILL SUPPLY THE RAIN, SUNSHINE AND THE RIGHT CLIMATE FOR YOUR GOODNESS TO COME TO ME. I WILL LISTEN TO YOU AND DO THE WORK I CAN TO PLANT SEEDS AND DEVELOP THEM WITH YOUR HELP TO HAVE AN ABUNDANT HARVEST!
