Brussel sprouts abound these days at the market. We love how they grow on these huge stalks.
The Brussels sprout is a member of the Gemmifera Group of cabbages, grown for its edible buds. The leaf vegetables are typically 1.5–4.0 cm in diameter and look like miniature cabbages. The Brussels sprout has long been popular in Brussels, Belgium, and may have gained its name there.Wikipedia
One of our favorite restaurants, Industrial Eats in Buellton cuts them in half, sprinkles balsamic-a dash of oil and roasts them in the pizza oven. They come out charred, crispy and delicious!
Wishing you all a wonderful weekend, Happy Friday!
