Google ranking is something of the past. To attain hiher on google or other search engines develop a Blog linked to your website. Updating the blog will over time attract the search engines to your site as well. Another important element is search engine optimization. This is a compliciated task involving selecting key words that pertain to your business, area, etc.

You've hit on two of the three primary elements of SEO (Search Engine Optimization) The third being link building. If you want to climb the search engine rankings you need all three of these things.

 Good Content + Good Keywords + Good Inbound Links = Higher Search Ranking

What are those things? That's for me to know, and you to find ;-P

There are some good clues on my AR blog, and Allen does give some incite in this post as to what good content is. Good luck web marketers!
