Monday Motivation - Spread Joy and Cheer

About a week and a half ago a friend of mine brought me some flowers.  At that time they hadn't opened up yet.  I was hoping they'd last through the week as often times flowers don't last all that long. For some reason these flowers came to life and have been blooming like this for 5 days or so.  Absolutely joyful and cheerful to see and enjoy these flowers again this morning!

This morning I decided to take a photo to send to my friend who brought the flowers. She couldn't believe it either and wondered what I had 'fed' them.  Just water!  They seem very happy with water!  It probably is due to the weather cooling down a bit and the house not being so hot.  But I prefer to think it's my green thumb skills.  LOL.

I thought it would be fun to share a little joy with a few friends so I texted them a picture of the flowers along with a cheerful greeting this morning. What a lovely way to just say hi and spread a little cheer on this beautiful day or any day for that matter.

Go ahead - Spread a Little Cheer and Joy today!

Send this bouquet!

Anna,

I learned a long time ago that flowers respond to more than water...Good vibes will definitely make them bloom and last longer...I have observed that bad vibes make flowers droop...and on a scientific note, when my mom was working at Green Giant (food library science), they discover in the experimental corn fields, that corn grew better when Mozart music was piped in throughout the growing season, and the other field that had acid rock the corn was stunted....LOL A

Well there you go Ron and Alexandra - good vibes!  I too have heard that over the years. Especially music makes a difference. That corn field with Mozart music playing would have been a fun field to walk through!

I got a very similar bouquet for my birthday in June.  It lasted a lot  longer than I thought it would and it was like an orchestra how the different flowers took their time to bloom.

Yes that's exactly how I'd describe this bouqet Chris Ann Cleland - like an orchestra!  So interesting to see them all finally open and stay so pretty for so long.  Still gorgeous today!

Hi Anna- you were right!!! We were on the same page today and the flowers look very similar!!!   LOL   One of the bunches I received for my birthday a few months ago lasted for over 2 1/2 weeks!!!!   Changing the water and recutting the bottom helps a lot!!!

After the comments I received on my post, I'm going to buy myself more flowers.

Miss Anna Banana Kruchten CRS CRB, Phoenix Broker - A big yes to spreading joy and cheer every day with our without flowers.  I love the beauty of flowers however the flowers don't always love me so much ... I seem to be allergic in some weird way.  The photo is a great way to spread joy and cheer!

Nov 10, 2020 08:11 AM

Hi Kathleen Daniels, Probate & Trust Specialist there are some flowers that I can't stand either.....the smell is too strong.  I have to put them on a side patio and just look at them.  Which is a bummer!!
