Throwback Thursday: A New Kind of Graffiti

It's unfortunate we have become such a "It's all about me" world and must see our name branded on everything.

I don't know Jeff Dowler, CRS the plant graffiti "kind of grows on you" after you look at it a while. Jeff

Well this is a new one on me.  Interesting, I would have never thought about it

Plant Leaf Graffiti is sad to see on such beautiful plants. Now for that swaying bridge....no thank you.

Good morning, Jeff... how interesting... and not something I've ever seen even in Kauai, which certainly is a lush and green island. You really have to wonder sometimes what people are thinking.

Oh, wow, I have never seen that sort of thing before.  I am glad you snapped a picture of it and shared it with us!

Good morning Jeff. I am not a graffeti fan. That said, many viaducts in Chicago have great examples of good work. Enjoy your day!

Good morning Jeff Dowler, CRS  I can remember back in the early 70s when they actually thought places like Chicano Park with the graffiti murals would curb unauthorized graffiti. That plan didn't work so well.  Perhaps people feel they need to prove they are significant.

Jeff I guess this is Kauai's version of what we do to trees here in the US.

Well isn't that interesting?  Never saw anything like that.

Jeff Dowler, CRS - I was raised to always leave the world a better place. My father taught us that when we'd go on family picnics in the park. And as I grew up and ran in races, it was not surprising to have trash bags handed out and everyone spread out to clean up the environment. 

To see that type of graffiti on plants is very disturbing to me. I can't even imagine how long it took for it to grow those thick leaves. It does look as if new growth doesn't seem to mind. If so, it confirms that Mother Nature and God above is forgiving.
