Last week I decided to call one of my previous clients from last year.  I wanted to check up on him and make sure things were going well.  He said that he was planning on calling me later that week.  He informed me that he was happy but he was going to sell and get a bigger place.  So I told him I could also do the loan now.  I potentially have 3 deals here, a listing, a buyer, and a mortgage.  My lesson learned?  Call your previous clients and stay in contact with them!

Good for you Greg!  I just stopped at Dunkin Donuts last week and bought 20, $10 gift cards to send to some past clients "buying them breakfast". Hopefully I'll get some business like you just did!

It's a great idea to always stay in touch, even with a simple phone call, or card, and it's amazing how often they "were thinking of calling you." Would they really have if you hadn't called them first? It's hard to know, but you just got yourself another lead!
