Do you know what to do with these guys?

Pomegranate. Who knew this big guy would stump me!  My neighbors brought me over 3 of these big guys last night. I looked at them and said, what are they?  That made them laugh.  Are you telling us you don't know what this is?  Nope, I don't.  What are are they?

They're pomegranates.  Oh, ok I remember you said you had planted one in your backyard.  I've never tried them.  But hey I'm up for trying new things. Thanks for bringing them over.

So here's the deal. I have no idea what to do with these big guys.  Do you cut them up like an orange or another piece of fruit. Eat it like an apple? Make something out of them.  I am totally clueless.

I've seen ads for pomegranate juice and supplements. Everyone says - oh it's so good for you.  But why is it good for you?

I know we've got some pomegranate experts on ActiveRain!  Help!

Anna- Can't see the photo but my grandmother had a pomegranate tree in her yard. I watched her cut into it and eat the entire seed.

Anna Banana Kruchten CRS CRB, Phoenix Broker I really wish I could help you. My dad loved them, but I never saw how he ate them.  I assume he didn't have to cook it to eat it, because he didn't cook much.

Hi Wayne Posey, Broker on Florida's Space Coast Wow that is good news on the health benefits. That's right up my alley!  And Martini's or margaritas would be fun!  Thanks!
