Good morning, Anna Banana Kruchten CRS CRB, Phoenix Broker there's nothing that trumps "original content"..... once it becomes "canned" it's like "tits on a bull" ..... just sayin'

I have seen this, including direct content from magazines claimed as theirs, and I was so surprised that this very post was featured.  Love Barbara Todaro 's comments on the bull's anatomy.  A

Our company advertised that we could post blogs on the websites they provide.  This was during the debacle of AR having lost June.  I checked it out and we can use article approved by our company.  What a let down.  Then again, it led me to getting my husband in gear to create my own website/blog where I can always do my own thing.

Hmm. I just saw two with the same title in the last hour but I only clicked on the oldest post assuming that the newest one was a reblog Anna Banana Kruchten CRS CRB, Phoenix Broker . Now I'll have to go back and check. It will lower my opinion of both blogers if they each claim it's their original content.

Hello Anna - there has long been stuff 'going on' in this forum.  I have reported examples at times but actually it is so prevalent(at times) doing so can become quite a chore.  

Hi Anna Banana Kruchten CRS CRB, Phoenix Broker - my guess is that people who use those blogs don't understand how using original content can enhance their web presence and even more, don't care about it.  Many may feel this is not part of how they want to spend their time. 

Interesting!  Crazy that buying content can be that attractive, but not enough thought put into why that's not a good idea!  Argh!

I remember about 6-7 years ago I googled myself and found my AR post on another realtor's website!  Someone found my post and sold it to another realtor!  My head was inflated for about 30 seconds!

Anna I have also been seeing more and more of the same thing.  However, usually it is from the Real Estate Company they work for, especially the larger ones like Berkshire Hathaway, or Keller Williams.  So it is not necessarily bought, but provided by their advertising departments.

Anna- it's been going on forever. People will buy content thinking that, and I suppose they think it's only going to their target area. I've received the same email within minutes of each other from different agents with the exact same content. Guess what I did with them. 

Anna, one of the many reasons you do not see me doing the same old canned Market Reports.... want to differentiate myself from the masses, now keep in mind canned stuff is good too on other platforms.... just here we get a chance to really shine and show who we are so why would I want to be vanilla...Endre

Hello Anna,  I like to be orignal with my blogs and sometimes if I do nopt have anything to say, I skip blogging.

Creating original content ensures people know you know stuff. That's important if we want them to call us!

Thanks for drawing attention to this, Anna Banana Kruchten CRS CRB, Phoenix Broker - original content only. I'm also getting a slew of email newsletters of late from agents, the content is so canned, and so similar. How is that going to build relationships 

I can usually spot plagiarized or purchased content a mile away. Why would anyone want generic canned content used by others? The joy of blogging is sharing our knowledge, showing our personality and developing our voice on a given subject. It's what makes each of us unique.

We've discussed this many times but I laugh when the agents don't even change up the titles! So G has 100 posts with the same titles all over the place! 

I haven't really seen it like years ago. I no longer follow the blog roll now thanks to the robo spammers.
