Jim Bohannon, former Searcy AR resident.
This is Jim Bohannon and he is a life-long student of railroad history and a collector of original 19th and early 20thcentury USA maps and railroad timetables. He sent me pdfs of old historic roadmaps and sounds as if he would do the same for you. He graduated from Searcy High and still keeps up with Searcy news. He has graciously offered to share his stash with you if you are interested.
He says, "In my retired senior citizen years, I stay interested and active by sharing with public libraries, historical societies and other non-profits (at no cost) copies of modern-day prints, that have been scanned from my original 19th and early 20th century maps and railroad timetables. The modern-day pdf map prints have been scanned from my ownership of the originals that entered the public domain during the same years—Over 144 years in the past."
He adds, "For historical, educational and other non-commercial purposes, the viewer has my permission to make as many copies of my pdf print as they choose, and in the process, enjoy the map/railroad history. Questions? Feel free to write or e-mail.
Yours truly, Jim Bohannon, PO Box 705, Bigfork, MT 59911
