Hebrews 12:2
“Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”
Jesus had all the power of God in him and the ability to do anything else but die on the cross. Yet he knew what he was sent for. When you think of Jesus dieing on the cross for you don’t only think about the fact that he took away our sins and died in our place; think also about the fact that he completed his assignment on earth.
We too have an assignment, anointing and calling that we are here to complete. Sometimes it may not seem like you have the strength to do so. Other times you may feel the desires to go another direction with your life. The battle between worldly desires and heavenly desires will be there from time to time. Again this is another time to receive grace and in these times we need to fix our eyes on Jesus, knowing he finished his assignment and endured the ultimate shame and suffering to allow us to be able to live our heavenly calling here and now.
What are you still putting off? What change would you like to make? Can you now make that change or changes necessary to live life in all of its fullness now?
JESUS I FIX MY EYES ON YOU KNOWING YOU ARE THE AUTHOR AND PERFECTER OF MY FAITH. YOU ENDURED SO THAT I MAY BE FREE. HELP ME LIVE LIFE IN ALL OF ITS FULLNESS! THANK YOU FOR SHOWING ME THE WAY!
