Thankful For Outstanding Customer Service

 

Don’t you love it when a business anticipates your questions or needs?!  Yesterday I was in our grocery store...H-E-B… trying to get everything I needed for Thanksgiving dinner. So was everyone else!!!heb

 

You can imagine how busy they were, especially the aisle that contains anything you’d need for baking, like sugar, flour, chocolate. I’ll bet that half of the shoppers only bake for the holidays.  People were standing in the aisle, trying to physical distance from each other and searching for items they don't often buy. 

 

Along came an H-E-B staffer asking shoppers what they needed. She was there to help all of us find what we needed. 

 

Most of us will wander around the aisles searching for what we want before we try to locate an employee. Only if we happen upon someone will we ask for help.

 

I get it...I rarely buy marshmallows and can never remember if they’re in the candy aisle or baking aisle. 

 

H-E-B anticipated that shoppers might find it hard to locate what they needed. To provide good customer service and to help keep aisles clear they had this staffer going throughout the store offering help where needed. 

 

Good customer service anticipates the needs of their consumers.

We were at Trader Joe's yesterday morning, and the service was as usual superb.    Although we had to wait in line a few minutes, it was a pleasure.  Because they were out of a certain item, we stopped at the new huge Sprouts, which was deserted maybe 3 customers...They have been open since August, and I asked where this item was, and instead of coming with me, she just pointed down the way...LOL

Ron and Alexandra Seigel hi Alexandra... we have a Sprouts that opened a couple of years ago... it's always pretty empty I've noticed. Across the street we have a Publix and its parking lot is not empty!

I love good customer service...  Lately, I have been noticing the phone service we get and how important a nice friendly voice can be when it comes to my deciding to move forward with the company they represent or just hang up and pass them by... Happy Day Kathy

What a wonderful idea Kathy Streib especially when we should be distancing. It keeps the isles uncluttered and makes you happy to shop there. Nothing like good customer service

Hi Barbara Todaro I tried the curb service and it works well. I like choosing my own produce though and while I was on the way to the store the other day, I was asking myself why not make it easy and order it online.

it's safer to order online and have the bags delivered.... the produce is perfect....not a flaw in any item.... I'm sure they're required to make each produc item  a perfect one to avoid complaints and redo of items....that takes time and money, not to mention lost customers....

Donald Urschalitz that is so true. Many will pay a little extra or drive further if the customer service is outstanding.

Hi Kathy smart, smart business idea as well.  Frantic holiday shoppers just want to get in and out and on their way. Excellent customer service ESPECIALLY on a holiday weekend is so appreciated.

I agree Hannah Williams so often the aisles are blocked by shoppers trying to find a particular item. And those who do know where to find the item they want, have to stand back to wait for others to move.

I definitely need to get to the store, but for everyday stuff.  Waited too long and now it's crunch time and going to be jam packed with shoppers.  I do this every stinking year.  Ugh.

Morning Kathy.

Our biggest retailer is WalMart.  The home office is about a 3-5 minute drive depending on the traffic.  Customer service around my area, is great.

Hi Kathy,
I was having the same problem the other day trying to find shredded coconut. I can never remember which aisle it's in because I only buy it once or twice a year for a special recipe.  Helping customers find what they want is a great idea to get them in and out quickly and safely.
