Camp Arrowmoon Boy Scout Camp

Located in Robertson County Texas just off Fm 2549 (on of all things "Camp Arrowmoon Road" )...Camp Arrowmoon has been around for many many years. I remember hiking there in 1965 in order to obtain my 20 mile merit badge for scouts . The entrance to the camp hasn't changed much . I love the art deco metal lettering and the native rock columns. Check out the logo on the gate... a moon with an arrow through it. Neat.

Camp Arrowmoon is a great place for Boy Scouts to meet and if your son is going to become a scout in the district, he will most likely end up spending a few weekends at the camp. Lots of pine trees were planted there years ago and if you didn't know better you would think you were in deep east Texas.

Trey, our country is great that they preserve Boy Scout camps with nature and lakes. I remember many of them growing up in Florida with scouting and the pine needles and spanish Moss. You are right Camp Arrowmoon does remind you of deep east Texas.

Scouting for the youngsters certainly is a great learning experience that goes with them through their entire life. Does look like the Piney Woods of East Texas.

Those pine trees do make it look like East TX.

I was involved in both boy scouts and girl scouts as a parent. For some kids scouting can really make a difference. I just wish more would stick it out.  Gary Woltal did. Way to go Gary!
