Being the dog lover that I am, I cannot believe that I just discovered that it's                                

 Take Your Dog To Work Day..   I wanted to share with my Active Rain Family..

The article says "Pet Sitters International, sponsor of Take Your Dog to Work Day, estimates that as many as 10,000 companies in the United States and Canada opened their doors to employees' dogs during the annual event held last June.

They wanted to let employers see the value of our canine friends... Well, it just so happens that we have one of our dogs here at our insurance office(our other biz) today..

Our beagle - Samsom began his life at our insurance office.. One of our clients found him on the side of the road the day before Christmas Eve a few years ago .. The client came by to pay his insurance and had the puppy with him.. He was frantic and said he could NOT take him home!! So, we offered to go back and try to find the owner the next day - didn't find them - SO, he became ours.... He has had several injuries and learned quickly that he can come to the office when he's "sick" or hurt... Guess what - I think he can fake injuries now ;-) too funny...

The boxer bull mix above is Simson, the most recent rescue.. He was a stray on our land, got his foot caught in a trap(not ours-don't know where), chewed on his foot to escape.. Off to the vet, two surgeries later - he is a miracle.. They felt sure they would have to amputate but praise God - they didn't - they just had to remove some bone... He is the one here today because we still don't want to leave him home to overdo his foot..  All our dogs are now well known by our clients.. The girls in our office miss the dogs when they don't come, especially Simson - since he's pretty much the new office mascot - much to the chagrin of our other dogs.......  They do a great job taking care of him when I am off doing staging and redesign..

ANYWAY - HAPPY - TAKE YOUR DOG TO WORK TODAY !!  I am thrilled to have Simson with us today..  IF you missed today - take your dog to work on Monday !!  God bless !!
