This past Sunday, we enjoyed the Champagne brunch at the San Ysidro Ranch in Santa Barbara. We were sitting on the terrace of the Stonehouse Restaurant with this magnificent view (pictured above). Pictured below is a larger view of the outdoor dining area.
The San Ysidro Ranch Resort is one of the most unique and storied hotel properties in the world. Jackie and John Kennedy spent their honeymoon there. The resort sits on 500 acres nestled in the Santa Ynez Mountains.
Lush gardens abound as you stroll around the grounds, and in the air is a feeling of tranquility and history. Pictured in an old olive tree, a reminder of the rows of olive trees that lined the long driveway to the valet parking area...
And yes, the brunch was a joy to the palate, as was the service. We loved every item on the menu that we chose, and the champagne flowed and is included with the price of the brunch.
