We Actually Don't Want. . .

By
Real Estate Agent

The strange thing about the sunset is that we actually don't want the sun to set. We want it to stay right on the horizon - not below it, not above it - just right on it." ~ Mehmet Murat Ildan

Hi Myrl:

That's an intriguing quote! And what a beautiful photo.

I actually really enjoy the process of watching the sun approach the horizon then fall below it, and to see all the changes in the light during the transition.

I have yet to see the green flash that sometimes happens when the sun drops out of sight...some day!

Hello Myrl - that's an ideal quote to accompany this terrific photo.  The "scene" and the "words" seem tailor-made for each other.

Good morning Myrl Jeffcoat I read once that at sunrise and sunset, the atmosphere filter's the sun's light so that what is left can easily trigger the brain to release lithium. Interesting concept.

Hi Myrl- what a perfect photo and quote. I remember raising to the beach to catch the sunrise only to blink or hit a red light and totally miss it. Yes, we want the sun or moon to stay just where we want them.
