As we entered the festive venue, Christmas music was playing, capturing the holiday spirit, invigorating my very soul. This heart swelled for those special people who continue to surround me in love.
Everything suddenly went absolute quiet, allowing the man up front to speak to those present in the audience. He told us all to think of a wish that was to be blessed upon others as we neared the New Year.
Without delay, I thought and then asked that..."In 2021, may the people in your life truly love and lavish you with sincere affection, without pretention or ulterior motives."
Realizing this was said aloud, my husband said, "You're really asking for it this year, aren't you?"
I answered, "Why, yes I am!"
