A loss of interest in interpreting the actions of others...

You have acquired true inner peace when you no longer feel the need to explain away behavior of other people.  Dr. Wayne Dwyer has a pillow that reads, "I'm allowed."   Finding inner peace means recognizing you are not responsible for others actions and you have a sense of acceptance when it comes to others.  The hard part?  That the acceptance exists even when you disagree.  You are allowed to be who you are... as are they.  There is no need to make someone else's actions fit into your accepted beliefs.  Only they are responsible for the decisions they make.  Only you are responsible for the decisions you make.

Am I there yet?  Not quite.  But I continue to try.Sunset Sky

Good post.  Many people never get it.  I think you can get to a place in your life, get it, and then you might loose it again.  I think that is where I am at right now.  I am glad I read your post.  I am going to concentrate on this some.  I want to get back to that place again, INNER PEACE.  It is wonderful.

I think this is the easiest concept so far.  The hard part is when someone else's actions have an effect on my life.  If someone sues me it can have a great financial and time impact on my life.  It is easy to say, "Well, they can do want they want and I can accept that."  The reality of having to deal with this crazy person does not lead to a peaceful situation.

Robert, I can relate to your comment.  I have been in a law suit for 5 years now.  First it was settled and my E & O had to pay only 13,000.  I thought that was the end.  Then he went after attornies fees and won in the tune of 80,000.  We appealed and just about a week ago the Third District Appelate Court Reversed the decision on my behalf!!!!!!  I had totally let it go and had not thought about it in awhile. Yahooo!!!

Eric: Great comment (0;  I enjoyed it.  You must be a philosopher or at least good at faking it!!

Roxanne: I agree totally with your first post, it is easy to gain ground and slip back.  I think we are always moving one step up, two back... However, I can relate to your second post too.  I was a stalking victim and it was very hard to find ANY peace with the situation.  That is, until he was arrested!! (0: However, I don't mean to insinuate that you must be an ice queen and not respond at all to others actions.  I just mean we have to try not to work ourselves up over things we can not change.  A wise man said, "Why worry over things you can not change?  After all, you can not change them.  And, why worry over things you can change?  After all, you can change them."

Veronica & Bonnie: Awe!  Thanks for your kind comments.  Glad you care to read and take the time to comment!

Robert: Bless your heart; I hope no one is picking on you right now!  You and I may not see eye to eye on everything but I can count on you to "keep it real" (0:

Thanks guys for taking the time to comment.  All of you know how very much I appreciate it.

I love Wayne Dyer Sara - especially that he is now appearing onstage (PBS) without shoes - that just says ahhh...

I've had a significant shift in my psyche and energy since the winter solstice. Something shifted I believe, as a result of who knows what? maybe being ready, maybe years of meditation and finding the inner life - it is there we find the substance of our pilgrimages.

I am letting go more with people - you are so young to be so wise, Hon!

Awe!  Deborah, Aren't you a darling?!?!?  Thank you.  You know what Dr. Dyer says, when you are ready, a teacher appears.  I am ready!  I am on the prowl!  And, as promised, I have had teachers appear.  Thank you for being such a doll baby.
