1 Kings 3:14
“And if you walk in my ways and obey my statutes and commands as David your father did, I will give you a long life.”
Walking in the Lords ways and obeying His statutes not only can help you to serve a lot of people, but it will extend your life. You may ask is the promise above only for Solomon? Perhaps it was within the text, but when you look at helping others, blessing others, serving and living your purpose —these are the things that will extend you life! They are life giving to those you help and to yourself.
God wants to heal you and others! God wants you to experience JOY, PEACE, LOVE. These fruits of the spirit help free you from the doubts, worries and fear of the world and will add years to your life. Your days ahead of you will be even better then your former days! God wants to give you more time to be a blessing!
Spiritual habits overall feed your soul. Things like giving of your time, talents, and tithes naturally infuse your inner being with life. It’s likely that if you feel off you may not be using the talents you know you have in you to their full potential. If you don’t make wise use of your time you’re likely more tired than needed. If you are not giving a tithe of your income its likely that that money is going to something distracting, an illness or repair related issue.
Walking in the ways of God and obeying his commands and statutes leads to a longer and fuller life!
HEAVENLY FATHER THANK YOU FOR THE OPPORTUNITY EACH DAY TO OBEY YOUR COMMANDS AND PROMISES. I KNOW THEY ARE FOR MY GOOD AND THE GOOD OF ALL AND LEAD TO A LONGER FULLER LIFE!
