Have you ever thought about curb appeal?

We always talk about making sure the property is staged and always do our part to make sure that the home has a delightful interior.  This is a good thing and should be a focal point for improvement when needed.  But, I have a question about curb appeal.  I have been out on an number of BPO's in the last two weeks and the bank is always asking for a front pic, side pic, street pic, and address verification pic.  Here are two homes in two completely different areas of the county.  I like shaded lots, some have a lot of character but, when they hide the front of the house or you can't even find the address I think that this is an extreme.

What do you think?  Should the prospective homebuyer be able to at least see the front of the home?  Should we suggest that the trees be trimmed to improve the homes curb appeal?  Or do we wait and see what the feedback is and then address what could be a problem?

Despite not having a single tree in our front yard I do love a treed lot... so long as it's not an unruly jungle. I would personally have to trim the trees to make them a little more attractive.

If the landscape is well kept then there will be interest.  I love trees!

I like trees ( we got a lot if them here in the Northwest ) but you have to see the house...Most inspectors will call something like this on an inspection anyway, so trim off what you can..

Don,

I love trees but have learned from experience that it is not goosd to have them too close to the house.

Richard,

Those personal experiences are really something.  I bet they help when listing a home and relating to the owner of the importance of getting them trimmed.

Thank you my friend for stopping in.
