Our little "Haley-bug" turned two years old on June 14, 2008. It is extremely hard to believe that the time has passed so quickly.
We gathered together to celebrate at Grass Valley Park (as we did last year). This is one of our favorite locations for get-togethers with a large, flat grassy area, play equipment, rest rooms, barbecues and concrete picnic tables. You can also fish in the lake or try to catch pollywogs or frogs (depending on the time of year).
Grass Valley Lake is adjacent to the golf course and has a wonderful, open yet treed feeling to it.

Michelle had a garden-theme to the party with flowers and ladybugs (she has such a talent for these things) and guests enjoyed a mid-afternoon snack of fruit kebobs, veggies, etc.
Michelle made the coolest "flower" cupcakes and Haley blew out her two candles effortlessly (we'd been practicing with her all year). It is hilarious to hear Haley sing "Happy Birthday" especially when she adds "...and many more..." to the ending! Haley is quite the sharing toddler and let Uncle Chad (and many others) sample the delicious frosting.
We had about 20 people attend, several driving great distances to be there. It was a perfect day with scattered shade and sunlight over the patch of grass where we set up tables and a large blanket in the "mush pot" when Haley and Michelle could open her presents.
So Happy Birthday to our "Boosie" (short for caboose)! We love you and pray a blessed year ahead for your continued growth and happiness.
