Recycle Used Electronics By Donating Yours To Goodwill

Each Wednesday this January (6, 13, 20, 27) you can donate your used and unneeded electronics to Goodwill. Donations can be taken to the Goodwill van, which will be parked from 11:00 AM till 1:00 PM outside Brigham Retail in Ballantyne Corporate Park next to the Cabo Fish Taco and Potbelly Sandwich Shop (11611 North Community House Road).

Goodwill accepts electronic and technology in all conditions and brands:

Desktops, laptops, mouses and keyboards
iPads, Surfaces, tablets & e-readers
Monitors, printers & scanners
Flat screen televisions
Home audio & theater equipment
Video games & gaming systems
iPods, MP3 players & accessories
Cameras, media cards, video equipment & GPS systems
Mobile phones & accessories
External & internal hard drives
Power cords, chargers & cables
Ink & toner cartridges
Children’s educational toys

If you're unable to donate during the January collection dates in Ballantyne, note that Goodwill has 30 donation centers in the Charlotte metro area where you can donate your electronics year-round.

Goodwill also now provides on-site hard-drive shredding at its donation centers to ensure data destruction.
