GO to Google and go down from the tip of the THUMB three colors. #3 THIS IS T!!! This is St. Clair County. from here you can click and get the Google HEAT Map .

Marine City is a Riverfront Community, centrally located on the St. Clair and Belle Rivers. The first settlers arrived in the 1780's and obtained a deed for the property from the Chippewa Indians.

First called Yankee Point because it was first settled by eastern Yankees, Marine City is at the mouth of the Belle River. It is located in the heart of the St. Clair River district and is only 15 minutes from I-94.

Marine City is one of three international crossings to Canada in St. Clair County. It has regular car and passenger ferry service to Sombra, Ontario.

The Nautical Mile, dotted with mini-parks, lets visitors get a close-up view of ocean-going and Great Lake freighters.

A little nostalgia - my Great Grandfather, Charles Westrick came over from Germany on one of the ships that landed somewhere locally onshore from the Belle River. Great Grandfather started a building supply / real estate business in 1889 on the corner of Broadway and S. Water Street. The business remained there from 1889 to 1960. Westrick Real Estate and Building supply was later run by my Gandfather, Elzra Westrick and then my Dad, Gordon Westrick.

In 1960, Dad sold the building supply business. Sold the land to Marine City for a park, and moved Westrick Real Estate to its current location the corner of West Blvd and Parker Street. In 1976 Dad joined forces with REAL ESTATE ONE as a Franchisee. I joined the firm in 1978.
